Ronnie’s House is a Los Angeles County based organization building pathways to healing, stability, and long term success for justice impacted individuals and foster youth while strengthening the collective systems that support them. Rooted in lived experience and founded in 2016 by Executive Director Shirin Senegal, the organization exists to reduce recidivism and build safer, healthier communities through coordinated, community driven solutions.
We believe that no single program or organization can solve reentry alone. It takes a collective. That is why Ronnie’s House operates at both the individual and systems level, providing direct support while investing in the capacity of nonprofit organizations working on the front lines. By strengthening the ecosystem, we increase impact, close service gaps, and create more sustainable pathways to success.
Our model delivers a full continuum of reentry support from pre release engagement to long term stabilization, connecting individuals to career pathways, mental health resources, entrepreneurship opportunities, and critical support services that drive lasting outcomes.
A cornerstone of this work is the annual Reentry Summit in Long Beach, California, a dynamic, multi sector convening designed to serve both individuals and systems. Justice impacted individuals and foster youth gain direct access to jobs, resources, and services, while providers, employers, funders, and policymakers align strategies, share best practices, and strengthen coordination across the reentry ecosystem. This dual lane approach accelerates both personal success and systems change.
Beyond direct services, Ronnie’s House advances nonprofit capacity building and advocacy. Executive Director Shirin Senegal is a strong advocate for nonprofit organizations and founded The Bridge Forward Alliance to provide advocacy and capacity building support. Through this leadership and initiatives like Reentry Keys, the organization works to strengthen nonprofit infrastructure, advance equitable contracting and payment practices, and ensure community based organizations have the resources needed to effectively serve justice impacted communities.
From its 90 day transformational programs and institutional partnerships to its technology platforms and ecosystem building strategies, Ronnie’s House is grounded in one belief that when we strengthen the collective, we reduce recidivism and build safer communities.
